| Adult Leader YPT | This is the link to the on-line training site for the Youth Protection Training course. Youth Protection Training is required for any adult leader or merit badge couselor. The training certificate is good for 3 years, except at Philmont. The training must have been completed in the past 12 months for Philmont. The training is conducted by Circle Ten Council. Once completed, the Council will process your certificate at its own pace. If you print the screen that shows you've completed the course, you may take it to the District Roundtable for presentation to one of the District's YPT instructors to review. The District's instructor, if you are nice, will give you a certification card on the spot or mail it to you. You'll need to bring your own self addressed and stamped envelope. Also, if you are new to Scouting, and have not yet received your membership card, you'll have to enter "N/A" in the member number location on the registration page. Or you can go to www.scouting.org and select the link for training, and it will ask you to set up a MyScouting account if you do not have one before doing the training online. |
